No tool breaks: eMobility startup e.telligent launches application-proven tool chain

The requirements for development quality in automotive development are gradually increasing, not only due to the Automotive SPICE process improvement model. Tool landscapes in which the user must switch between independent tools slow down the development process of a company considerably. The eMobility startup e.telligent from Ingolstadt presents an ASPICE compliant toolchain named e.cosys, which guarantees the customer a continuous traceability along the entire V-model.

With e.cosys (e.telligent collaboration system), the technology startup introduces a highly automated and intuitive tool chain to the market. The in-house developed platform has a modular structure across different domains and process steps and provides interfaces for collaboration across multiple companies. It is aimed at companies from the automotive, industrial and aerospace sectors who want to increase the maturity level of their development processes quickly, cost-effectively and in compliance with process requirements according to Automotive SPICE. The USP of the tool suite is the out and out traceability of requirements from architecture to implementation and testing in one system without a single tool break. This is achieved through the intelligent networking of Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, R4J, Bitbucket and XRay with standard tools from the automotive industry (Enterprise Architect, Matlab, TargetLink and vTESTstudio) as well as specially developed scripts. A continuous build and continuous test implemented via Jenkins, Tessy, Polyspace and Greenhills and linked via XRay is already part of the standard suite. In addition to embedded software development, the tool chain is also suitable under special configurations for developing and deploying data processing software in cloud and IT infrastructures. The eMobility startup pursues the strategic goal of developing and marketing of software for the energy data processing.

"Through the development of e.cosys during project implementation, we were able to complete the tool chain as a user by continuously incorporating feedback during the course of the project until it was ready for the market," says e.telligent managing director Dr. Christian Matzner, pleased and continues: "With e.cosys, we are proud to be able to offer a high-quality product on the market in the next logical step.” Currently, e.cosys is used in the development of an on-board charger for a German premium OEM and networks three companies at different international locations. The tool suite e.cosys is available in different sizes. For detailed information, please contact the listed contact details in the press release.
