Electrifies since two years: e.telligent celebrates company anniversary

With the vision "An e.telligent component in or connected to every electric vehicle", Dr. Christian Matzner and Frank Fichtner founded the eMobility startup e.telligent two years ago - with success. Since the company was founded in February 2018, the start-up from Ingolstadt has grown to 25 employees. At the locations in Ingolstadt and Regensburg, the focus of the employees in the field of electromobility is on energy storage, power electronics and intelligent energy algorithms. Today, on its second birthday, e.telligent looks back on the milestones achieved since the start of operations.

Since its foundation, the electromobility start-up has enjoyed resounding success both in the project business and in product development. The flagship project is the series development of an onboard charger for an electrically powered scooter of a major German OEM. "The fact that we, as a young company, are able to provide comprehensive support for the series development process of a German OEM is a very great vote of confidence," explains Managing Director Dr. Christian Matzner, and at the same time sees opportunities for the future: "As an ambitious company in the field of electromobility, the project offers us the chance to prove ourselves. I am confident that we will fully repay the trust placed in us within the framework of the project with our passionate commitment". In order to always offer customers the best solutions against the background of the increased demands in automotive development, e.telligent also pursues the development of its own products. With the application-proven tool chain e.CoSys (Engineering Collaboration System), the eMobility specialist enables the quality of development processes in companies to be increased quickly, cost-effectively and in compliance with process requirements according to Automotive SPICE. Within the scope of the series development of the onboard charger e.CoSys networks three companies at different international locations and provides a continuous traceability along the entire V-model.

Despite the high order situation and the still early development phase of e.telligent, the specialist for electric mobility attaches great importance to the professionalization of its corporate structures. With the opening of the office in Regensburg's industrial park, e.telligent offers its employees another attractive location. Since the beginning of the year, the eMobility Startup is also an officially recognized training company. Thus, e.telligent offers young applicants not only interesting internships and working student activities, but also exciting apprenticeships. The "e.telligent Guiding Principles" were developed together with the team during the start-up phase. Thanks to these guiding principles, the path to achieving the vision is clear to every employee. In addition, the startup received a more professional look last year with a new corporate design.

The driving force behind the company's success is its e.telligent employees. In addition to its exciting technological work content, the company creates a first-class working atmosphere for the entire team, especially through its flat hierarchies. Employee benefits such as corporate benefits and regular team events (Gamescom, ESL One, company runs, Christmas parties and visits to games of FC Ingolstadt and ERC Ingolstadt) have the same importance in the employee-oriented company philosophy. "The extraordinary team spirit at e.telligent is the reason for the great corporate development of  the last two years. The aim is to expand this offer on a sustained basis in order to remain attractive for our employees and potential applicants. We still have a lot of plans", Matzner looks ahead.

The electric mobility specialist is already working on its next development steps. Under the name "e.cademy", a team of e.telligent employees is developing a comprehensive training program, the training sessions of which will highlight various problems and scenarios of electromobility. In order to officially prove its development quality, the start-up is aiming for both DIN EN ISO 9001 and TISAX certification in 2020. e.telligent CEO Dr. Christian Matzner emphasizes: "In the future, it is important to establish further high-quality products on the market in addition to e.CoSys in order to support our customers in their projects in the best possible way. Matzner continues that e.telligent is very proud of the development of the past years. However, the company does not want to rest on its past successes. After all, e.telligent has set itself a long-term goal with its vision "An e.telligent component in or connected to every electric vehicle".
